Sulfonate and sulfurized alkyl phenol salts from different manufacturers
2. Test method
Add 3% detergent into the base oil and stir evenly. Then add part of the oil sample into 100ml centrifugal tube and observe the change of the oil sample

4. Evaluation:
The detergents of different manufacturers have different water separation capacity in different base oils, which is due to the different water resistance of the detergents, the detergents all contain oil-loving and water-loving groups, which can form association micelles in oil. When water is "transported" to the vicinity of these associating micelles under certain mechanical stirring conditions, the different oil-hydrophilic equilibria of surfactant determine whether their hydrophilic groups are bound to water and the degree and mode of binding. If the combination is firm enough to form a stable emulsion, the precipitation value will increase; on the contrary, the hydrophilic group of the association micelles will not combine with or combine to form an unstable emulsion, so the detergent has good water resistance and less precipitation value.
